Paver Specifications
To make sure that we provide the best warranty for every job done right. Lifetime Warranty won't be enough if there is no right preparation. Therefore, these 7 steps are to be followed.
Step 1. Excavate to achieve a final depth of 0-10" to 0-12" for driveways and 0-07" to 0-09" for patios and walkways. Followed by subsoil compaction with a mechanical plate compactor to eliminate soft soil areas that could cause unevenness, sinking and settling in the future.
Step 2. Excavate to achieve a final depth of 10 to 12 inches for driveways and 7 to 9 for patios and walkways. Followed by subsoil compaction with a mechanical plate compactor to eliminate soft soil areas that could cause unevenness, sinking and setting in the future.
Step 3. A perfect paver project is one where a geo-textile (Mirafy 500x) is set on the subsoil and just below the aggregate base foundation. This is to provide flexibility on the paver project as well as to prevent roots from growing from the ground up.
Step 4. Install class 2 aggregate base rock. Followed by a preparation of the base surface to bring it to the evenness required so that the base rock is even before the bedding sand is spread throughout the new paved area. Your beautiful pavers are then installed one by one.
Step 5. When we finally achieve the required compaction spec (95%), the area is ready for the bedding sand, where your new pavers are installed one by one and by hand following a pre-selected pattern.
Step 6. Hand saw cut the edges using a skill saw and install the soldier edging on wet concrete with a steel rebar to give extra strength and to keep the entire area from shifting/moving and to give it a unique, finish and attractive look when is done.
Step 7. We assure that the smallest detail is taken care of, making sure that all pavers installed have received close attention and then apply the finishing sand evenly to fill in the paver joints with over-the-sand compaction to not force, but to evenly and smoothly push the sand into the paver's joints, thus finalizing the interlocking paving stones project.
Finally, we clean up the work site to leave your outdoor project, inviting, perfect and ready to enjoy!
